2024 Fall Product Sales Kickoff

All leaders are invited to learn about the product offerings, incentives, and important dates for Fall product sales.

Each Den Leader who attends will go home with materials for two (2) Adventures from the updated Cub Scout Program.

Please RSVP to Summer Lamb for food planning. Cub Den Leaders should include which Den they lead to help prepare their adventure materials. Text or email is ok.

Do the Cub Scout program updates require leaders to take new training?

The most recent updates to the Cub Scout program are designed to make the entire Cub Scout experience more fun, simple, and easy for parents, families, and leaders.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the importance of trained leaders. Here’s what’s changed and what hasn’t changed about Cub Scout position-specific online training.

Maury Clancy American Indian Campership Application

This is the last year for the Maury Clancy American Indian Campership Fund. The National Order of the Arrow Committee has voted to retire the fund, giving us an opportunity to apply for some limited remaining funds. 

Please submit the completed form to Diana Wise at the Scout office no later than August 10, 2024

Your Scouts can apply now for the 2024-25 Scouts BSA Youth Council

The Scouts BSA Youth Council, aimed at putting youth perspectives central in program decision-making, provides an incredible opportunity for qualified youth to give input and shape strategy on some of the most important topics in the organization.

Now in its fourth year, the council is ready to fill its ranks with a new lineup of Scouts for the 2024-25 term.

For the next few months, youth at least 14 years old and not yet 18 during the entire term (October 2024 through May 2025) may apply if they meet the following criteria:

• Currently in the Scouts BSA program
• Achieved First Class rank or higher
• Serving or have previously served in a position of responsibility in a Scouts BSA troop

Qualified Scouts can apply for the youth council using this online application. The deadline to apply is August 31, 2024.

CAMP MASTERS Presents Michael Beck and How to Sell $10,000 in a weekend!

Four training dates to choose from.

This training is good for Popcorn Kernels, Parents, and Unit Leaders. It has been proven successful repeatedly, providing all the money Units and Scouts need for their entire year of Scouting. It also teaches skills that will benefit them throughout their life.

News from Units Around the Council

Explorers from Post 2800 participated in Tip a Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics held at Jimmy’s Eggs on June 29. 

Pack 5 met at Osage Hills State Park. They talked with Ranger Kyle about his job and how to stay safe at the park then hiked a 2-mile trail. 

David Fries from Scouts BSA Troop 5 began work on his Eagle project with help from other Scouts from Scouts BSA Troop 5. 

Scouts BSA Troop 6B & Scouts BSA Troop 6G went backpacking in Colorado! 

Scouts BSA Troop 33 attended summer camp at Camp Alexander in Colorado.
