SUNDAY WORSHIP 10:00 AM
IN-PERSON & LIVESTREAM
| | |
SIXTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Perhaps the church, at its best, is “all ears.” God urges the faithful, again and again, to “listen up!”—to heed the word that gives life. So it was with Abraham and Sarah, Mary and Martha, and the early church at Colossae. So it is today as we join the assembly to hear the word of God, the word of life.

Children's Church during worship will be on the first three Sundays of each month. It will be designed for children up to the second grade. We hope to expand to every Sunday as more volunteers are identified. Our youth director, Mike Holt, will be leading this ministry. CCM FOOD PANTRY
JUNE
May was our second busiest month in about a year and a half, as far as households served throughout the CCM Food Program. At the Crisis Center, we served about 50% more households than the same month a year ago (when stimulus monies, unemployment benefits, and food stamp benefits were plentiful). We continue to see the same trend in June. Meanwhile, our non-perishable inventory is getting really low!
Currently, the pantry items we are in biggest need of are:
- Any kinds of canned beans except green (pinto, black, kidney, baked, etc.)
- Cereal
- Any kind of canned vegetables, except green beans and corn (carrots, potatoes, mixed, peas)
- Dried Pinto Beans
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Chicken
- Any kind of Canned Meats (except tuna!)
- Spaghetti and other Dried Pasta
- Macaroni and Cheese
- Pasta Sauce
- Soup
- Toilet Paper and Paper Towels
As always, we especially seek low sodium items, no-added-sugar items, and whole grain items.
These items can be dropped off at the Portico Entrance during office hours.

WE ARE THE BRANCHES
Each week we will remember in prayer our brothers and sisters at one of our partner Lutheran churches in the NC Synod. Please lift them up in your prayers during the week also.
I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. ~John 15:5

In a few short minutes, you can make a one-time gift or set up a donation that will process automatically on a recurring basis. Recurring donations are convenient and provide our church with much needed consistent support throughout the year.
