Sudberry Properties Breaks Ground on 200-Unit Apartment Community in Civita

Sudberry Properties has broken ground on its fourth apartment neighborhood in Civita, The Brynn, with 200 luxury apartments and extensive amenities on 3.3 acres. The new residential enclave, scheduled to open in 2025, is located at 2525 Via Alta, overlooking the award-winning 14.3-acre Civita Park.

RECON’s Rob Hobbs Honored with Leadership Award

RECON Environmental, Inc. President Rob Hobbs was recognized by The San Diego Union-Tribune Top Workplaces with the Leadership Award! Rob was recognized for his vision and guidance over the past four years at RECON. In addition, RECON was also selected as a Top 10 Workplace in the Small Business Category.

Pacific Highlands Ranch Complete!

After decades of planning and development, Tri Pointe Homes is pleased to announce that the Pacific Highlands Ranch community of over 3,500 homes is complete. In 1980 when Tri Pointe Homes (then Pardee Homes) purchased the property, the vision was to transform the area into a sustainable destination community. Best of IBS 2024 Finalists Announced!

The National Association of Homebuilders congratulated an array of finalists for their Best Of The International Builder Show status. More than 230 product entries in nine categories were judged by 36 industry and media representatives. Finalists were evaluated on criteria such as innovation, functionality, and design. Winners in each category, as well as a Best Overall winner, will be announced on February 29^th at 3:30 p.m. during the Best of IBS Awards Ceremony & Toast at the IBS Construction Performance Zone (Booth SU253).

IBS will be held February 27- 29 in Las Vegas and will feature 717 new exhibitors among the 1,600 + exhibitors anticipated.

Vista Lane by Mirka Investments

Mirka Investments graciously thanked San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria for attending their ceremonious groundbreaking of Vista Lane 2, and his steadfast support of the affordable housing industry. The project, located in San Ysidro, will provide affordable 267 apartment homes which are earmarked for families with annual incomes of 50% to 60%, or less, of the Area Median Income.

Tri Pointe Homes Congratulates April Gingras

April Gingras, Vice President of Community Experience for TriPointe Homes San Diego, is celebrating her 6th year at the company. April is a past Chair of San Diego's Sales and Marketing Council, and has a long history of experience in the building industry and service to the BIA and SMC. Congratulations April!

Lady Liberty Welcomes Jo-Anne!

The USA welcomed Capstone Studios Principal Jo-Anne Redwood, as she became a US citizen on January 17th. Ms. Redwood is a native of South Africa and is a long-time member and contributor to the marketing of San Diego BIA as well as its Sales and Marketing Council. Capstone Studios is an Icon award winner and is a 2023 National's Silver honoree and potential GOLD winner for its contributions toward the refreshed BIA website.
