About the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team

The Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team, an arm of the Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters, was established in 1974 to travel worldwide introducing and spreading Taekwondo spirit and skills. Its members include some of the world’s most highly trained and accomplished Taekwondo practitioners. As a civil diplomatic corps, the team conducts demonstration tours around the world. Taekwondo, Korea’s indigenous martial art tradition, has evolved into a pop culture icon of Korea as well as a global community and Olympic sport, as evidenced by the team's impressive second-place finish on the CBS talent show The World's Best in 2019.
