Night Work Cancelled This Week, Day Work Continuing

Due to the inclement weather this week, the night work that was scheduled to occur through Friday morning, March 3, has been cancelled.

Crews will continue underground utility location work during the day today, Tuesday February 28. Work will not occur on Wednesday, March 1, and work will then resume on Thursday, March 2.

Work will occur near the intersection of Clairemont Dr. and Joplin Ave., heading north toward Clairemont Mesa Blvd.

Day work hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Traffic control will be in place to provide crews with a safe space to work. Businesses and residents will have access to their driveways if they're located within the work zone. Please follow the posted signage in the area for your safety.

About Pure Water San Diego

Pure Water San Diego is the City of San Diego’s phased, multi-year program that will provide nearly half of San Diego’s water supply locally by 2035. Pure Water San Diego will use proven water purification technology to clean recycled water to produce safe, high-quality drinking water. The Program offers a cost-effective investment for San Diego’s water needs and will provide a reliable, sustainable water supply.

Phase 1 includes several projects that will clean recycled water to produce 30 million gallons per day (mgd) of high-quality purified water, reducing the City of San Diego’s dependence on imported water.
