 August 28, 2024

On Tuesday night, September 3, crews will install the next phase of traffic control on West Morena Boulevard between Buenos Avenue and Vega Street. This phase, which is expected to last 6 weeks, contains two portions of work with separate working days and hours. These phases are explained below, and a map outlining the detours and work zone is also included below.

West Morena Boulevard and Buenos Avenue intersection:

This work will take place at night, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Thursday nights. During working hours, the intersection will be closed and detours will be in place. During non-working hours, the intersection will be open to traffic. This portion of work is estimated to take approximately 2 weeks.

West Morena Boulevard between Buenos Avenue and Vega Street:

Crews will be working 24 hours per day, Monday through Friday, within this area to expedite the work. Traffic control and detours will remain in place until the work has been completed. Traffic will be detoured onto Morena Boulevard to get around the work zone. This portion of work is estimated to take approximately 4 weeks.

For your safety, please follow all posted signage. Please plan extra time when traveling in the area to accommodate for traffic delays. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
