Tonight: Next Phase of Traffic Control on West Morena Boulevard

 July 23, 2024

Starting on Tuesday night, July 23, crews will install a new traffic control setup along West Morena Boulevard, near the intersections of Morena Boulevard and Buenos Avenue. Vehicles traveling westbound on West Morena Boulevard will be detoured to northbound Morena Boulevard, and directed to turn south on Buenos Avenue. Vehicles traveling southbound on Morena Boulevard will not have access to West Morena Boulevard, only traffic for businesses will be maintained.

The traffic control will be installed at night to minimize traffic impacts through the area. Once the traffic control is installed, crews will continue to install pipeline in the roadway along West Morena Boulevard. This portion of work is expected to last approximately 4 weeks; please be advised that the construction schedule is subject to change.

Crews will be working 24 hours per day throughout this time, and the traffic control will remain in place throughout this phase of work. Detours will be in place, please see the map below illustrating the detour route.

For your safety, please follow all posted signage. Please plan extra time when traveling in the area to accommodate for traffic delays, and please anticipate construction noise and overnight construction. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

The map below displays the detours that will be in place throughout this phase of work.
