Pastor Jacqueline Thompson extends a special invitation to women and girls of all ages to join us and the Women’s Mission Society in morning worship on Sunday, November 30 at 9:30 AM as we prepare for EMERGE 2026

On Thursday, December 4 from 5:30 PM to 8PM, join the Public Ministry and the Block by Block Organizing Network in the Family Life Center Mary Morris Room for a town hall focused on solutions for public safety in East Oakland. Come hear updates, learn how you can get involved, and add your voice to this movement for change.

Topics include:

• The 40×40 Initiative and how it redirects public safety funding
• Updates from the City of Oakland Department of Violence Prevention
• How to become a Neighborhood Leader/Ambassador

On Saturday, December 6 at 11 AM, women of all ages are invited to a joyful and creative time of fellowship while painting beautiful watercolor nativity-themed Christmas cards. Whether you're an experienced artist or trying this for the first time, all skill levels are welcome!

If you've experienced the loss of a loved one, you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate grief by yourself. The Grief Ministry invites you to join Grief Share, a 13-week support group designed to help you process your loss and find hope for the days ahead.

Held on third Sundays after worship in Family Life Center Room C-205, Grief Share is a safe, welcoming space where you’ll find understanding, comfort, and practical tools to cope with the ups and downs of grief. Together, we’ll explore what’s “normal” in grief, how to handle difficult emotions, and ways to find healing—one step at a time.

There’s no cost to join—just bring your time, your heart, and your openness to healing. Share with those in your life who would benefit from healing in community.
