District 196 Bond Referendum Update District 196 is having a bond referendum special election for facilities and equipment improvements. If you are an eligible voter in District 196, you can vote now through election day May 9. You can vote absentee in person, during normal business hours through May 8, at the District Office in Rosemount, the Dakota County Western Service Center in Apple Valley, and the Dakota County Administration Center in Hastings. You can also absentee vote by mail, but it takes additional time and returned ballots must be received by May 8. Either way, to vote absentee you need to fill out the one-page 2023 Minnesota Absentee Ballot Application form, which asks for your driver’s license # and last four digits of your SS#. Fill out the form before you arrive to streamline the process. Life is busy. Things happen that get in the way of plans. No matter how you feel about the bond referendum, vote early to make sure you vote in this important special election.
