Keep Your Home Protected - Download Firewise Certificate to Show Your Home Insurance Company

Hillsborough Firewise USA strongly urges you to down load your National Firewise USA Program Certificate. It can be either the North or South certificate. Your property insurance will likely request it as it will soon be State mandatory that all properties in Firewise USA districts are eligible for a small discount. In 2023 there will have a new certificate so you may need to down load one again.

Get yours at www.hillsborough.net/firewiseUSA

Would You Be Willing to Build an ADU on Your Property?

Take the Town's ADU Survey

The Town historically relied on the construction of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), sometimes referred to as "granny flats" or "in-law units," to meet State housing requirements. Because of a five-fold increase in State mandated housing targets, the Town seeks to promote the construction of ADUs to an even greater degree over the coming eight years. The purpose of this survey is to measure your interest in constructing an ADU or ADUs on your property as well as understanding what you believe potential barriers are to their construction so that the Town can work towards removing them.

All responses are extremely valuable as the Town completes its draft housing element.

San Mateo County Updates

COVID-19 Boosters

  • Updated, bivalent boosters, which are effective against both the original strain of the COVID-19 virus and the Omicron variants, are available from primary health care providers, such as Kaiser and Sutter, as well as from pharmacies such as Walgreens and CVS. County Health’s community clinics offer boosters and primary series (first and second doses).

  • Advance appointments are available on MyTurn, though appointments are not required. Everyone 12 years and older should get the updated booster, as the best protection against severe illness and death from the currently circulating virus.
