| | Atmospheric River - Be Prepared! | | |
Another atmospheric river is on the way and our region is expected to receive significant rainfall and high winds in the coming days. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for the Bay Area from Thursday afternoon through Sunday morning. With the ground already saturated, there is a high potential for flooding, downed trees and landslides. During business hours, please contact the Public Works Department at 650-375-7444 for any issue that requires immediate attention or the Police Department's 24 hour, non-emergency line at 650-375-7470.
We will have additional staff working during the storm and teams are out re-clearing storm water catch basins and trash racks throughout the city. The Town continues to respond to impacts from the recent storms that have significantly impacted our region. For the latest forecast updates, visit www.weather.gov/mtr.
How you can be prepared:
- Get prepared NOW – get any supplies, groceries, etc., in advance.
- Charge your devices and be prepared for potential power outages - visit PG&E's outage map for updates.
- If you are able, avoid driving or being out on the roads during heavy rains. If you must drive, NEVER DRIVE THROUGH A FLOODED ROAD!

If SBA cannot approve your application, in most cases we refer you to FEMA’s Other Needs Assistance (ONA) program for possible additional assistance.
