Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA Foster Care Program

The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA Foster Care Program is made up of individuals or families who volunteer to offer temporary care for shelter companion animals in their homes. Foster volunteers help shelter animals get ready for adoption. The pets may need to recover from an illness or injury, work on specific behaviors, or just relax in a home setting while we work on finding their forever home. Currently we are seeking volunteers to foster dogs, kittens, guinea pigs and rabbits. Volunteers must be 18 years old or older to foster animals. For more information, please visit https://phs-spca.org/volunteer/foster/.

Construction of the Eucalyptus Pedestrian Pathway Project is Underway

You may have noticed recent work being done along Eucalyptus Avenue. This work is for a new 1,900 foot-long concrete pathway which will create a safe place to walk outside of the street and encourage more pedestrian travel.

The improved pedestrian pathway will provide a safe route to school for families and aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve pedestrian safety and convenience, and beautify the corridor.

Construction is expected to continue through August. Click here for the project description and schedule.

Central County Fire Department (CCFD) Reminds Residents to Please Schedule your Vegetation Management Inspection
