DP Max

High-Energy Q-Switched Nanosecond Lasers

Up to 3 J @ 1064nm 10Hz

The DP MAX reflects Photonics Industries’ long-standing focus on diode-pumped solid-state laser design. This Q-switched, pulse-pumped platform was developed by our in-house engineering team to deliver high pulse energy with the efficiency, stability, and reliability required for production and advanced research. Built on patented architectures and refined through continuous R&D, the DP MAX provides predictable, long-term performance in demanding industrial and scientific applications.

Photonics Industries Introduces DP MAX Series: A New Generation of High Pulse Energy, Diode Pulse Pumped Nanosecond Lasers

Ronkonkoma, NY – February 3, 2026:

Photonics Industries International Inc., a global leader in diode pumped solid-state laser technology, today announced the launch of the DP MAX Series, a new family of diode pulse pumped, Q-switched nanosecond lasers designed for high-energy industrial and scientific applications requiring stability, efficiency, and long-term reliability.

DP MAX is a modern, sealed, monolithic laser platform that combines high pulse energy, compact form factors, and advanced control capabilities in a fully integrated system without a pumping lamp. The series was developed to meet increasing customer demand for higher throughput, cost of ownership, reliability, simplified integration, and predictable performance in production and research environments.

The DP MAX Series spans operating points from 200 mJ at repetition rates up to 400 Hz to multi-joule (Up to 3 J) output at lower repetition rates (10 Hz), supporting a broad range of applications including Semiconductor annealing and inspection, Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy), and Ti:Sapphire pumping. Typical pulse widths range from approximately 8 ns to 15 ns, with stable multimode beam delivery optimized for robust processing.

“DP MAX was engineered to deliver high pulse energy while improving efficiency, stability, and usability at the system level,” said Matt Johnson, U.S. Sales Manager at Photonics Industries. “It reflects what customers are asking for today: compact platforms, integrated functionality, and dependable long-term operation.”

Engineered for performance and integration

DP MAX incorporates Photonics Industries’ expertise in harmonic generation and system integration. Fully integrated optional harmonics (532 nm, 355 nm, 266 nm, and optional deep-UV configurations) are supported across the platform, with automated harmonic tuning to simplify setup and ensure repeatable conversion efficiency.

Key features of the DP MAX Series include:

  • Circular beam quality (M² approximately 4–6) for stable, repeatable results
  • Wall-plug efficiency up to ~10%, reducing thermal load and facility requirements
  • Extended diode lifetime exceeding 10 billion pulses, lowering long-term operating costs
  • Fully sealed and protected laser head, with a detachable umbilical for flexible OEM integration
  • Advanced pulse control modes, including real-time pulse-to-pulse power control and LIFT mode, with optional low-jitter operation below 1 ns

DP MAX systems support RS-232, Ethernet, GUI-based control, and external TTL triggering, with fast operational readiness.

Positioned for demanding industrial and scientific markets

The DP MAX Series is designed for environments where reliability, efficiency, and repeatability are critical. Its compact architecture, sealed construction, and integrated functionality make it well suited for OEM platforms and end-user systems requiring high-energy nanosecond performance with reduced integration complexity.

“DP MAX provides a scalable, diode-based solution for customers building the next generation of high-energy laser systems,” said Hans Taylor, Managing Director, Photonics Industries Europe. “It delivers the performance and control needed to support advanced applications across industrial and scientific markets.”

DP MAX is available in multiple configurations and wavelength options, with water-cooled operation and industrial environmental specifications suitable for continuous operation.
