Hello Nune,

At Santa Maria, each day brings new opportunities to make a profound difference in the lives of those we serve.

Read below about our collaboration with Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, and watch the video to witness the power of partnership. Together, we're not only providing essential items to families in need but also fostering connections and offering hope to our community members facing generational poverty.

This month, we highlight Irene's journey. The adorable boys above are her two little ones. Irene was determined to rewrite her family's future with the support of Santa Maria's Every Child Succeeds Program and the Stable Families Program. From navigating the challenges of securing stable housing to honing parenting skills and mastering English, Irene's story epitomizes resilience and the impactful change that is possible with our team's dedication to serving Price Hill families.

Kayla Hess also shares her experience volunteering during a Mission Ambassadors service day through Mount St. Joseph University, highlighting the impact of serving others and fostering teamwork within the Price Hill community.

We have several events to tell you about! Please spread the news about our free health fair. Our staff and volunteers are hard at work planning our free Spring Health Fair set for Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at ARCO Cincy (3301 Price Ave 45205). Please share the flyer below.

We also have two upcoming fundraising events: On Friday, May 3, you can support Santa Maria at Cheers for Charity at Westside Brewing (West Side Brewing 3044 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati, OH, 45211) from 5 - 9 p.m. Twenty percent of sales that night will be donated to Santa Maria.

We'd also like you to SAVE THE DATE: Thursday, October 3 for our annual fundraiser, Passport to Success. It's at an all-new venue: Aston Oaks Golf Club (1 Aston Oaks Dr. 45052). More information to come!

And finally, Santa Maria's website has an all-new design! Read about the changes below and watch the video for a quick tour!

Changing Lives, One Diaper at a Time: A Partnership Story

Every month, we have the pleasure of partnering with Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, a fellow nonprofit dedicated to supporting families in need. Together, we provide families with free diapers and period products to help families overcome generational poverty.

In a heartwarming video, our early childhood administrative assistant, Gina Hornback, and volunteer Peggy Edwards take center stage. They roll up their sleeves and dive into the task at hand: bringing diapers and period products to our program participants.

But this isn't just about distributing essentials – it's about fostering connections and offering a hand up to those in our community who need it most. The partnership between Santa Maria and Sweet Cheeks goes beyond transactions; it's a testament to the shared commitment of two organizations working tirelessly to make a difference.

As Gina and Peggy navigate through the day, their actions speak volumes. They demonstrate the care and attention to detail that defines our approach to serving families. From loading up the van with supplies to organizing donations with precision, every step is infused with purpose and dedication.

Through this collaboration, we're not just providing diapers and period products – we're providing hope. We're sending a powerful message to our program participants: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not alone.

At Santa Maria, we believe in the transformative power of partnerships. Together with Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank and other like-minded organizations, we're building a network of support that extends far beyond our walls. We're creating a community where families can thrive, regardless of the challenges they face.

As we continue on this journey, we're grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such incredible partners. Together, we're making a difference – one diaper at a time.

Thank you for being part of our mission to create a brighter future for Price Hill families.

Serving Others Through Santa Maria

Mount St. Joseph University student Kayla Hess recounts her recent experience participating in a service day organized by MSJ Mission Ambassadors, where she assisted with various tasks aimed at supporting Santa Maria's mission to be a catalyst and advocate to help Greater Price Hill families achieve their educational, financial, and health goals.

Led by Santa Maria Volunteer Coordinator Lynne Rinear, volunteers engaged in activities such as unpacking donations, organizing items, and moving winter clothing to storage. Despite the non-glamorous nature of the work, the experience fostered a sense of teamwork and community engagement among the participants. Reflecting on the day, Kayla emphasizes the importance of performing service with genuine kindness and without seeking personal gain, highlighting the impactful nature of even small acts of volunteering. Inspired by her experience, she looks forward to volunteering at Santa Maria again in the future!
