When Everly Settlemeyer was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at the end of 2022, she was one and a half years old. She was put on immediate risk protocol at her local hospital in Visalia, CA, and six months later she was transferred to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital after further testing revealed the need for an aggressive treatment protocol. She arrived at Family House in July 2023 with her mom Kayla and dad Kenneth, and Kayla and Everly have been here more than they've been home ever since. Since coming to Family House, Everly has had to fight for her life, but her mom has been with her every step of the way. This Mother's Day, we're celebrating their strength.
