Dr. Kevin M. James, Sr.

Join us April 14 - 18 for Holy Week Worship as we journey together through

the final days of Christ’s earthly ministry, reflecting on His love, sacrifice, and the hope of resurrection.

We will offer Meditation opportunities on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at noon.

Our 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday Service will be a sacred time of scripture, music, and Holy Communion as we recall the night Jesus gathered with his disciples, shared a final meal, and demonstrated humble service. Together, we’ll reflect on the depth of Jesus’ command to love one another.

Then return for our noon Good Friday Service, a powerful service of reflection and remembrance as we contemplate the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. This solemn service invites us to pause and enter in to the depth of Christ’s suffering, love, and sacrifice.

All services offer space for quiet reflection, worship, and preparation for the joy of Easter. All are welcome.

Wednesday Worship Highlight

At last Wednesday's Lenten worship experience, it was a joy to have Rev. Pat Wilkerson as our guest preacher and members of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in attendance.

Volunteer Help Needed for Children's Care

Dear Church Family,

As the Executive Director of our school, I’m reaching out with an opportunity to make a

meaningful impact in the lives of our students. We are looking for kind-hearted volunteers who are willing to step in as substitutes when a teacher is absent. This is a wonderful chance to support our school and be a positive presence in the classroom!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a background in education! Each classroom has a second teacher, so you won’t be alone. You’ll have the support you need, and the most important thing is your willingness to help. Whether you're a seasoned teacher or just someone who loves to lend a hand, your contribution will make a difference.

Please note that this volunteer role will not be on a regular basis, but rather as needed when teachers are absent due to call-outs or vacations.

To make this process as easy as possible, we will cover the cost of fingerprinting through the clearinghouse, ensuring that everything is properly set up for you to volunteer.

Teachers shape the future one student at a time, and by volunteering, you’ll be helping create an environment where students can thrive, learn, and grow. Your presence, care, and support will have a lasting impact, not just on the classroom, but on our entire community.

If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please email me at

june.oconnell@palmcoastumcs.org to let me know. I’ll be happy to guide you through the next steps.

Thank you for your love and support,

June O’connell
