Climate Transitions Dialogue
The inaugural Climate Transitions Dialogue (CTD) will take place June 6-7 at CSU Lory Student Center. The Dialogue is designed to catalyze and encourage people and groups to learn more about Colorado's climate transition community. This interactive dialogue is sure to foster continued conversation and generate ideas for joint action. LEARN MORE

Announcing our 2022-23 Sustainability Leadership Fellows
Our newest cohort of 20 PhD students and postdoctoral scholars have been announced and will receive training beginning in September. The incoming cohort has fellows across 6 colleges and from 15 different departments across campus. Over 200 early career scientists have completed the fellowship and have applied their skills to develop noteworthy careers across the globe. LEARN MORE

CSU hosts meeting for Fulbright Scholars
SoGES in collaboration with CSU Office of International Programs hosted a major workshop for Fulbright Scholars in April. The workshop brought 84 scholars from 49 different countries to hear talks from CSU and northern Colorado experts, engage in discussions of climate impacts experienced by different nations, and participants presented on how their institutions are responding to the challenges posed by climate change. Global Environmental Sustainability Minor (GES)
Our flagship minor, the GES program provides a deep understanding of the complexity surrounding the problems we face and the solutions that we need to implement to address climate change, biodiversity, pollution, public health, oceans, food security, and development on a global scale. LEARN MORE.
Sustainable Water Interdisciplinary Minor (SWIM)
Jointly offered by the Colorado Water Center and SoGES, this minor focuses on water issues from social, political, economic, and ecological perspectives. Students gain knowledge of the complexities of water use and management. LEARN MORE.
Role of Sustainability in Peace and Reconciliation Studies Minor (SPRS)
This minor focuses on social, philosophical, and education aspects of peace and reconciliation and how these can address issues of sustainability. LEARN MORE.
Sustainable Energy Minor (SEM)
Jointly offered by the CSU Energy Institute and SoGES, this minor focuses on the many dimensions of sustainable energy and breaking down traditional barriers that separate the science and engineering of energy from the social, economic, and political aspects of energy. LEARN MORE.

NEW! The Graduate Student Chapter of the Student Sustainability Center (SSC) seeks to engage graduate students who are interested in sustainability-related careers. Available to students in Master's and Ph.D. programs. Jacob VanderRoest, Chemistry, spearheaded the creation of the graduate chapter and serves as its inaugural director.
