Cold Weather Tips

• Build Inclement Weather Response Plans: Winter storms don’t wait for business hours, so your team should be prepared to respond to emergencies.
• Communicate hours and contingency plans with your customers, partners and employees
• Wear winter-appropriate apparel 
• Prepare your drivers for winter driving…train, train, train!
• Make sure your equipment and vehicles are winter-ready
• Prior to winter storms hitting, make sure you are reassuring your partners that redbox+ Dumpsters is there to always assist
• Prepare for unexpected expenses
• Lean on established partnerships with trusted vendors
• Maintain extra supply of antifreeze, oils, and consumables on hand
• Keep generators fueled and extra battery powered lights ready to go
• Plug vehicles in to keep them warm and ready to start
• Have battery cables and/or jump starters readily available and charged 
• Drain air tanks daily
• Add fuel additives so fuel doesn’t gel up
• Keep snow chains close
