Invest some time to learn and review some of the issues and opportunities coming out of the 2024 Federal Budget.

On April 16, 2024, the Canadian government announced significant changes to the capital gains inclusion rate in Budget 2024, impacting how individuals and corporations report and pay taxes on capital gains. These significant changes took effect on June 25, 2024.

This session will focus on capital gains, exemption limits, exceptions and new inclusion rules.

The information will be of interest to advisors dealing with investment clients, those invested in land and commercial properties as well as sales of businesses and succession  planning. Some strategies will be covered to ease the burden during lifetime or provide necessary liquidity at death.
