June 2023 - Volume 2

Happy almost Solstice!

The Summer Solstice occurs this month on Wed, June 21st. This longest day of the year is ripe with potential for renewal and rejuvenation. As we prepare to gather for the first time in years, the 3HO community is feeling the fruitful energy of beginnings and rebirth!

It is time for all of us, in a purposeful and intentional way, to align our actions with our intentions. Will you be joining us in the high desert of New Mexico for Summer Solstice at Ram Das Puri? Will you be joining us virtually from wherever you are in the world? Gather in global sangat to honor the June solstice, and make the most of our blessed chance to begin anew.

Long Ek Ong Kar’s

Long Ek Ong Kar’s begin the Aquarian Sadhana mantras. This is an elevating meditation done during every morning sadhana at Summer Solstice.

This mantra is used as the cornerstone of morning sadhana, though it can be chanted at any time. It is also called Long Chant, Morning Call, and the Adi Shakti Mantra. The mantra creates a relationship between the individual soul and the Universal Soul. It is said that this meditation can balance all of the chakras, open the solar plexus, liberate you from the cycle of time and karma, and unite you with the Divine.

Meditation for Keeping Up with the Times

May our spiritual global community unite in radiance and truth.

In order to keep up with the times and truly live for each other, we must transcend our individual consciousness and expand into a collective and infinite consciousness. This meditation includes Guru Gobind Singh’s bani (prayer) to invoke fearlessness and to remove obstacles so we, as a global community, may unite in radiance and truth.

What I Know About the Aquarian Sadhana

"I grew up with the Aquarian Sadhana, an early morning practice that includes doing Japji, yoga and chanting. My parents would bring me down to the sadhana room all bundled up in blankets. My mother said when I was little I would always pop up out of my blankets and sing along with the chants when they started." ~Snatam Kaur
