Project Updates

Exciting progress is happening! Concrete work in Phases 1A and 1B is now complete, and lighting has been installed. The project remains on schedule.

Meanwhile, curb installation continues in Phase 2B, and demolition in front of Webster Bank is expected to begin this Wednesday.



Nearly all major drainage work has been wrapped up, with only a few remaining areas in Phases 2A and 3A/3B still to be completed.

We appreciate the community’s ongoing patience as we work to bring long-term improvements to the heart of West Hartford Center.

Project Look-Ahead

Construction activities continue to progress throughout the project area. Below is a summary of recent work completed and a look ahead at what’s scheduled for the coming week:

Week of June 23–27

• Sidewalk pours in Phase 1A are expected to be completed.
• Temporary paving will be placed in remaining areas of Phases 1A and 1B.
• Demolition will continue in Phase 2B, along with installation of work zone fencing.
• Soil cell installation will begin in Phase 2B to support future tree plantings.
• Phase 2A will also kick off with demolition and work zone setup.

As construction progresses, we're working to maximize on-street parking for customers and visitors. To help, we encourage employees to use alternative parking options, including the Town Center Parking Garage, which offers reduced rates for retail and restaurant employees working in the Center.

The Town Center Garage rates are far lower than other options! The rates are $4.50 for up to an 8.5-hour shift and $7 for anything over 8.5 hours.
