Summary

Week seven of nine has wrapped, signaling a pivotal point in Session as committees wind down and legislators push to advance priorities before the May 2nd adjournment. Budget conferees will soon be appointed, beginning the 2025 budget conference. Most committees have concluded; Senate Rules Chair Kathleen Passidomo confirmed the committee’s final meeting will be next week. Bills that have cleared at least one committee may now be amended into other legislation in their chamber. This week, the Legislature passed HB 597, expanding diabetes management in schools by allowing districts to stock undesignated glucagon for emergencies.
