On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, voters participated in selecting their party's candidate for the upcoming General Election. While most of these elections were closed primaries, where only party-affiliated voters could participate, several races utilized an open primary system due to the lack of opposition from other parties. This open system led to the election of one State Senator and six State Representatives, bringing the total to two State Senators and fourteen State Representatives elected when added to the list of candidates who ran unopposed.
With the primary elections concluded, the focus now shifts to the General Election on November 5, 2024. Early voting is scheduled to begin on October 26 and will continue until November 2.
