The Mentoring Mastermind Program is a unique five-week mentoring journey coupled with specialized training on well-being, resilience, and goal-setting. Applicants should be prepared to engage with the program for approximately 3.5 hours each week from September 23 to October 21. Selected participants will be placed in mentoring teams of 3-4 alumni from different countries and generations. From setting robust goals to practicing self-care to networking in new ways, this program offers a platform to grow, share, and achieve.

World Cleanup Day is a movement that began in Estonia in 2018 and has since spread to 191 countries and united more than 60 million volunteers to tackle the global waste problem and build a new and sustainable world! Contact your Alumni Coordinator to find out how to get involved in activities they are organizing with alumni in your country, or gather members of your community - your family, friends, colleagues, classmates - for a cleanup event of your own! Yelyzaveta Glybchenko '13 (Ukraine)


Yelyzaveta was awarded the 2023 Jon Rieger Award for Exceptional Work in Visual Sociology from the International Visual Sociology Association (IVSA) for her doctoral thesis on visual peace technologies in connection with her startup, Color Up Peace. Having begun in Ukraine, this project to promote peace through art now spans communities from the United States to the Republic of Korea. Yelyzaveta is the first Ukrainian citizen to be recognized by the IVSA.

Amelia Ogiela '22 (Poland)



Amelia was selected to represent Poland as part of a delegation at the European Youth Parliament conference in Norway, which will be held in September 2023. The European Youth Parliament is one of Europe’s largest youth platforms for civic education, intercultural encounters, and the exchange of ideas – run by young people, for young people.

Alumni in Tajikistan Develop Their Professional Skills 


As the Alumni Coordinator of Tajikistan, Surush Ruhulov ’19 made a goal for himself at the beginning of his term to strengthen the alumni network by improving the professional abilities of alumni. With the help of successful alumni from various fields, he began a professional development workshop series to empower and help fellow alumni on their professional journeys. Read more here

Alumni in Lithuania Seek Sustainability 


In 2018, Aida Mazyte ’17 organized the first sustainable fashion and clothing trading event, Spintadienis (“The Wardrobe Day”), where she provided a space for people to sell their old clothes. Since then, Spintadienis has been one of the most successful and well-loved events in the FLEX alumni community in Lithuania. FLEX-Ability 2023 participants celebrate their love for FLEX! On June 29-July 2, the FLEX-Ability Workshop on Social Entrepreneurship and Career and Workplace Skills was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This workshop brought together 83 alumni participants and eight mentors from seven countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program is a United States Department of State-sponsored program for secondary school students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. The program provides merit-based scholarships for students to travel to the United States, live with a host family, and attend a U.S. high school for a full academic year.
