We are looking for experienced alumni to serve as mentors for the Central Asia FLEX-Ability Workshop 2024. The workshop will take place from 24-27 February in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The strongest applicants will be those who demonstrate experience or potential as a teacher, trainer, and/or facilitator with expertise related to one of the following topics: Career Management and Workplace Skills, Communication, or Mental Health.

FLEX-Ability Workshop 2023
From June 29 to July 2, 2023, the FLEX-Ability Workshop on Social Entrepreneurship and Career & Workplace Skills, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was an immersive and capacity-building experience that fostered a culture of hands-on learning and international collaboration. The workshop brought together 76 alumni, seven alumni coordinators, and eight mentors from seven countries, each with unique perspectives and experiences. Read more here!
| | | In celebration of the milestone 20th, 30th, and 40th anniversaries of the YES, FLEX, and CBYX programs, the U.S. Department of State welcomed 170 alumni from among the most distinguished of the three programs to Washington, DC. Together with honored guests and program administrators, alumni attended a reception at the U.S. Department of State and a workshop with the Center for Global Leadership. The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program is a United States Department of State-sponsored program for secondary school students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine. The program provides merit-based scholarships for students to travel to the United States, live with a host family, and attend a U.S. high school for a full academic year.
