As we face an ongoing nationwide housing crisis, Proposition 5 presents a vital opportunity to help address our state's affordable housing shortage and improve our local infrastructure. Please join us by voting, YES on Prop 5!

What is Prop 5?  

Prop 5 empowers local voters to address affordable housing and public infrastructure needs in our communities. It will create more housing that is affordable for low- and middle-income families and public servants, like teachers, nurses, and firefighters, while developing the infrastructure needed to support new housing and safe communities, like roads, transit, water, and fire stations.

Why is Prop 5 important for Ventura County? 

With Ventura County earning the title of one of the least affordable areas in the Nation, due in part to skyrocketing home prices and limited affordable rental options, Proposition 5 gives local control back to our communities, enabling us to design solutions tailored to our specific housing needs while maintaining accountability and transparency in how funds are used.

Prop 5 will also support critical infrastructure projects like parks, fire stations, and water resources that are needed for future housing developments. By passing Prop 5, we are making it easier to build the homes our community desperately needs while ensuring better public services for all.
