A Milestone to Celebrate for Animals and the People Who Love Them
On October 1, more than 200 friends, supporters and members of the UC Davis community gathered to celebrate the dedication of the new Janice K. Hobbs UC Davis Veterinary Medical Center Southern California. Guests heard from the center’s benefactor Janice K. Hobbs, along with university and school leaders, and then joined in a ceremonial ribbon cutting and tours of the new space.
The day marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in veterinary medicine for Southern California. Made possible through the extraordinary generosity of our philanthropic community, the center will expand access to advanced specialty and emergency care, bring together leading veterinary experts, and provide new opportunities to advance clinical innovation and education.
Just days later, the center began welcoming its first specialty patients, bringing to life the vision celebrated at the dedication and reminding us of what philanthropy can make possible for animals and the people who love them.
