Big THANK YOU to Our Partners

The VFWC would like to thank both The Boeing Company and St. John’s Health Foundation’s Community Impact Fund for their generous support of our expanded programming and community events in 2024!

VFWC in the Community

Over the recent months, we’ve been honored to support these great events for Veterans with our partners!

  • In December, VFWC Staff delivered 3 “Hopeful for the Holidays” workshops for the Veterans living on West Los Angeles VA campus.
  • For the holidays: The VFWC and UCLA distributed over 400 apple pies to Veterans at the Veteran Holiday and Thanksgiving Food Drives organized by the VA’s Center for Development & Civic Engagement.
  • VFWC staff delivered a workshop on developing emotional awareness and healthy coping skills to Veterans enrolled in Success Academy, a class at UCLA Extension designed to help Veterans develop skills to obtain and maintain employment.
  • To kick off the year, the VFWC hosted a resource table at the MLK Day of Service event on January 9th.
