March FoodShare Campaign

Every March ESNS participates in the Minnesota FoodShare Campaign (MFSC). The MFSC began in 1982 and continues today as the largest grassroots food and fund drive in Minnesota which also helps bring awareness to food insecurity in our state.

Here's how YOU can make a difference in East Side's March Food Share Campaign:

  • Host a Food Drive: Gather your friends, family, or coworkers and host a food drive to collect much-needed items for our community pantry.
  • Volunteer: Join us by lending a hand. Whether it's sorting donations, packing food parcels, or distributing meals, your hands-on help is invaluable. Call 612-791-4492 or emailcelizondo@esns.org for current opportunities.
  • Spread the Word: Share this newsletter and help us reach more hearts and homes. Your voice has the power to inspire action and make a lasting impact in our community.

Thank you for standing with your neighbors and for believing in our shared vision of a connected and supported community where no person deserves to go hungry.

Gratefully,

Carolina Elizondo

ESNS Director of Food Programs

Caregiver Support Group No Longer Available

Our weekly Caregiver Support Group, hosted by the Vital Living Program, is now on pause until further notice. As we continue to dedicate our efforts to serving the caregivers in our community, we are evaluating the most effective ways to reach those needing support. During this time of change, we will continue to serve caregivers through our NE Day Spot program, 1:1 support, and providing resources to those who reach out. We appreciate your flexibility and patience while we take this time to be intentional and direct our energy to other caregiver-centered programs.

If you'd like to connect with the Vital Living team regarding this, please contact 612-787-4086 or VitalLiving@esns.org.

Vital Living Guided Meditation

Take a moment to relax with a guided audio meditation! During high-stress times, it's too easy to let self-care fall by the wayside.

If caregiving for a relative, partner, neighbor, friend, or child is causing difficult emotions, contact our Vital Living team at VitalLiving@esns.org for support and resources.
