Led The Son Of God

To The Wood Of The Cross."

The Prayer Society's mission is to pray

for Catholic Charities and those we serve

Pope Leo XIV

2026 Prayer Intentions

Pope Leo XIV's prayer intentions for 2026 reflect the Church's mission and the Pope's desire to unite in prayer on various global issues.

Pope Leo XIV's June 2026 Prayer Intention is for the values of sports.

Let us pray that sports be an instrument of peace, encounter, and dialogue among cultures and nations, and that they promote values such as respect, solidarity, and personal growth.

This intention reflects the Church’s hope that athletic activities can foster unity, mutual understanding, and positive human relationships across different communities.

The word Pray in sports equipment

God of all peoples and nations,

You created us to live in communion with one another,

bound together in dignity, hope, and love.

We thank You for the gift of sports,

which bring people together across languages, cultures, and borders.

May every field, court, track, and arena

become a place of encounter and friendship,

where respect is stronger than rivalry

and unity triumphs over division.

Teach athletes, coaches, families, and fans

to honor one another with fairness and compassion.

May competition inspire excellence without pride,

and may teamwork nurture solidarity, perseverance, and peace.

Help young people especially to grow

in character, discipline, and confidence,

learning to value each person as a brother or sister.

Lord, in a world often marked by conflict and misunderstanding,

may sports become a bridge between cultures and nations,

opening hearts to dialogue, reconciliation, and mutual understanding.

Guide us to use every opportunity for play and competition

to build a more just and peaceful world,

reflecting Your love in all we do.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Let us lift these intentions in prayer...

Pray for the dads who are struggling, especially those fighting to give their children a better life.

Pray for the Very Reverend Kyle Ingels in his work as the Diocesan Administrator for our diocese.

Pray for Archbishop James Golka in his new role in Denver.

Pray that Catholic Charities may continue to be a source of clear moral vision and effective action. In our pursuit of peace and justice, may we embody the compassion of Christ as we advocate for and minister to those in need.

Pray that we receive the support and resources necessary to continue serving all who come to our doors.

Pray for our Spiritual Care Team—that they remain healthy, available, and strengthened in their mission to accompany our clients on their spiritual journeys. May new members soon be inspired to join and share in this ministry.

Pray for our clients, that they may continue to experience a sense of family within Catholic Charities and find comfort in our spiritual presence.

Pray for the families moving into Hunt Family Housing, that they may find peace in their new homes and make full use of the services and support available through this program.

Pray for all who come to us seeking help, that we may be a source of compassion, guidance, and comfort as they work toward stability and hope.

Thank you for keeping Catholic Charities in your prayers. Your continued support means so much to us.

We Always Need New Members Of Our Spiritual Care Team. Is This A Ministry You Can Help With?

The Spiritual Care Team offers a human-to-human, heart-to-heart connection with Marian House clients through a ministry of presence.

We are seeking volunteers who can be available one or more days during the noontime meal at the Marian House Campus. If you have time to give, please consider joining this team that ministers to our neighbors in need.

Empower us to extend our hands

through spiritual guidance.
