In Truth, what can be said of Christmas, the mass of Christ, that rebirth celebrated at the time of the turning of the days when darkness finally relents and begins to allow light to take its ascendancy? You see it in your seasons, and you have prayed for it in your souls. And there is not one thing that blocks the turning of the Light within you, save your own insane insistence that "Surely I am guilty, somewhere. I cannot be loved so fully. How can I release that which I have clung to for so long?" For, indeed, many of you have come to understand that what you have felt and experienced often in this lifetime is nothing more than an old record being played over and over and over.
What can be said of Christmas? That you are that Christ Child and that seed of your enlightenment, which I far prefer to call your own divine remembrance. It was already planted in the depth of your soul through the Grace of your Father when first you, as the only begotten Son of God, held one thought and believed it to be true: "I am separate from God. I must journey forth and find my own way." And you have carried that seed within you always. It has whispered to you in your anguish and in your aloneness. And even at the height of your successes, that seemed a bit temporary, the voice in that seed has spoken unto you. Listen; perhaps you can hear it even now.
For just beneath the din and the roar of your world there comes a quiet voice, the voice of the Christ within you, who abides with perfect union with the Father always and who knows you better than you could ever know yourself because that seed is yourself. Listen. Can you hear it? Are you willing to turn your ears from the world to the still and quiet place, the temple of the heart indeed, the Holy of Holies and to hear the echo of the song that has been sung without ceasing, "You are my beloved Son, and in you I am eternally well pleased"?
Be the one this Christmas who is Christ reborn. Great is my love for you that have journeyed for so long. Great is my love for you who are already with me before the beginning of time and, for the twinkling of an eye in which all worlds have arisen, you chose to forget for just a moment. And the distance between us is no greater than the simplicity of choosing anew.
