Program Events and Activities

Join us on Saturday, November 4th, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., to celebrate the beginning of another awesome Girl Scout year with a fiesta and s’mores.

Girl Scouts’ family and friends are invited to enjoy activities from the Hispanic Heritage Month fun patch program before heading over to the fire circles for an evening ‘round the campfire to celebrate our Founder.

Saturday, November 4th, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

After attending the welcome Back Fiesta, end the evening celebrating our Founder round the campfire roasting marshmallows, singing lots of Girl Scout songs, making SWAPs (special whatchamacallits affectionately placed somewhere), and sharing in Girl Scout sisterhood.

Animal Habitats! (D)

Tour the facility and meet an animal in the SPCA’s care. This event is great for both animal lovers and those who might be unsure around animals. Enjoy hands-on learning about pet health and overall pet care, and tour the Richmond SPCA Humane Society to see what it takes to run an animal shelter. And new this year: Animal Habitats! Find out more about where animals live, how they play, and how humans can help them.

2024 Cookie Program

New Digital Cookie Platform

In Girl Scouts, girls engage in activities that spark curiosity, confidence, and innovation. The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the foundation of entrepreneurial experience in Girl Scouts and is an important (and exciting!) part of being a Girl Scout. Research shows that girls are interested in becoming entrepreneurs, developing financially stable futures, and using their skills to make a meaningful impact on the world. As cookie entrepreneurs, they sharpen their business savvy and work as a team to accomplish common goals and solve problems, while building the confidence they need to shine as girls, as young women, and as future leaders. And did we mention fun? They have lots of that along the way, too. Every year, Girl Scouts all over the country use their cookie earnings to have amazing experiences in their communities and beyond.

This year it’s more important than ever for Leaders to take part in Cookie Training. GSUSA is launching Digital Cookie, one unified platform for all girls and their parents to manage the cookie program.

Troop Leaders and Troop Cookie Managers with less than 2 years managing a cookie program are encouraged to attend New Leader Training.

This training will cover Digital Cookie as well as Smart Cookies, the system leaders will use to manage the troop's experience. Experienced Leaders with 2 or more years managing a cookie program are recommended to attend the experienced leader training to learn all about Digital Cookie.

In addition to training, we will offer multiple opportunities to pick-up your troop cookie packet. If you choose to attend an in-person training, you will pick-up your materials at training. If you attend virtual training, you will be able to pick-up your materials quickly at one of the designated cookie packet pick-up locations. A variety sample package of cookies will be available for $10 (at packet pick-up).

After choosing the best day and time for your schedule, let us know which cookie training you will attend so we can ensure plenty of materials are there!
