2024 Cookie Program

Girl Scouts Supports our Military Troops

Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia donated over 1,500 cases of cookies to the USO to be shared among multiple sites serving the military and their families. Thank you to Jackie Johnson, Amari R. (Troop 147), and Kai T. (Troop 714) for representing the Girl Scouts.

Cookie Rewards

The bulk of our cookie rewards are expected in the next couple of weeks. They will be sent to your local Service Unit Product Program Manager for distribution to troops.

For higher level rewards:

  • Emails have been sent to girls’ families who earned the Night at the Diamond asking them to RSVP. The deadline to RSVP for the Fredericksburg Nat’s game has passed but there is still time to RSVP for the Flying Squirrels game on May 31.

  • Emails have been sent to girls who earned the American Girl Doll (girls have choice between 4 dolls).

  • Emails have been sent to girls who earned the Stellar Seller reward asking them to RSVP.

  • Emails have been sent to girls who earned the Camp Session asking them to coordinate with the Help Desk their choice of session.

  • Pathway Passes will be printed and mailed next week. If a girl wants to apply it to camp registration, she can contact our Help Desk and we can get that processed even before she receives the pass.

If your girl should have received one of these emails and didn’t, please check your spam folder or contact our Help Desk at gshelper@comgirlscouts.org or by calling 804-746-0590 ext. 316.

If anyone needs clarification on rewards earned, we recommend using the reports in Smart Cookies. Using the current reports, click on Rewards then Recognition Order Summary by Troop or Recognition Order Summary by Girl.

Archery is a Girl Scout staple and a confidence boosting experience for girls. The Level 1 Archery Training is for instructors and those interested in becoming an instructor. In this training you will become certified to bring this experience to girls in your troop, service unit, and special events! Adult instructors are required for Girl Scout archery activities.

Certification for GSCV’s archery program is provided through USA Archery. USA Archery offers Level I Instructor courses in a blended learning format. Volunteers will need to complete the knowledge portion of the course online prior to completing the in-person session at Camp Pamunkey Ridge.

USA Archery Level I Instructor certification is a required course for volunteers who wish to teach beginning archery skills to Brownies through Ambassadors. In Level 1, participants learn about range safety, range setup, the steps of shooting, equipment, and equipment repair. Girls 16 years of age and older are welcome to participate. This USA Archery certification is valid for three years and renewable online through USA Archery.

Registration for USA Archery Level I starts at the link below. You will receive the information to complete the required online course, then attend the in-person course on Sunday, May 12th.
