2024 Cookie Program

How do girls accept payment for cookies at booths or from customers purchasing cookies on hand?

Using the Digital Cookie Mobile App girls and leaders will be able to accept payment at booth or from a customer purchasing cookies on hand. Girls will be able to select the booth location (that was previously populated by the leader in Smart Cookies). Girl Scouts will be able to scan a card or enter the number from the customer. For more information, please see the linked tip sheet detailing the payment features of the app.

After the initial order period when girls can start accepting “girl delivered” orders, how is the leader aware of the cookies needed?

Prior to the initial order being placed, the cookies ordered for girl delivery (paid for virtually) will populate in the troop's orders in Smart Cookies. Once the initial order is submitted after a brief lock out period, girls will be able to begin accepting girl delivery orders again. Those additional orders will not populate into Smart Cookies. The girl or parent/caregiver will need to make the leader or cookie manager aware of the cookies needed to fill orders. Leaders may already have cookies on hand or may recommend the girl and her parent visit a local cupboard. Once the cookies are secured, the troop leader will complete a transfer in Smart Cookies giving the girl the financial responsibility of those cookies and the cookies will go toward her rewards.

I heard girls can earn pins and badges through Digital Cookie.

The girls have the ability to work on several entrepreneurship pins and badges and track their progress in Digital Cookie. At the completion of the program, Troop Leaders will have the ability to view any pins or badges completed and provide the girls with the earned recognition. For more details check out this tip sheet.

Parent/Guardian agreement (pdf option)

Don’t forget to have the parents/ caregivers in your troop sign the parent/guardian agreement.

Keep these on file for your troop and only submit if there is an outstanding balance at the end of the program.

Parent/Guardian agreement (digital option - complete online)

Correction in the How to Guide for Troop Leaders and Troop Cookie Managers

Under Options for customers on page 9 in the guide it refers to being able to order online and pay at the time of delivery. This season all cookies ordered online will be paid for at the time of the order. The only orders that are not paid for at the time of ordering are the orders taken on the hard copy order card.
