Growing Up Wild: training for Daisy & Brownie Leaders

Ready to explore nature with your troop? What can be explored just outside your troop's meeting place?

See the outdoors a whole new way from nature's experts that are Growing Up Wild!

Girl Scouts has emphasized the importance of getting outdoors for the past 110 years. Learning about the environment and having fun outdoors helps Girl Scouts build courage, confidence and character to make the world a better place. Growing Up WILD builds on Girl Scout Daisy’s and Brownie’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, explore differences between living and non-living objects, basic needs and characteristics of plants and animals. Leaders will receive a troop copy of the Growing Up WILD guide along with other resources to help conduct the activities with their troop. The 27 Growing Up WILD activities support many of the Daisy and Brownie badges, including the Outdoor Art, Math in Nature, Camping and more.

Cookie Program
Cookie Training and
Packet Pick-Up
In Girl Scouts, girls engage in activities that spark curiosity, confidence, and innovation. The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the foundation of entrepreneurial experience in Girl Scouts and is an important (and exciting!) part of being a Girl Scout.
Research shows that girls are interested in becoming entrepreneurs, developing financially stable futures, and using their skills to make a meaningful impact on the world. As cookie entrepreneurs, they sharpen their business savvy and work as a team to accomplish common goals and solve problems, while building the confidence they need to shine as girls, as young women, and as future leaders. And did we mention fun? They have lots of that along the way, too. Every year, Girl Scouts all over the country use their cookie earnings to have amazing experiences in their communities and beyond.

We ask leaders to participate in cookie training to best prepare to support girls in the world’s largest girl-led entrepreneurial program!
New Leader training - New Leaders and Troop Cookie Managers with less than 2 years of experience are asked to attend the new leader training. This training will cover the basic operations of the Cookie Program as well as tips for a smooth and successful experience for your girls. Both virtual and in-person new leader trainings will be offered. Link to the virtual trainings is below. No registration is required.

Experienced Leader training - Leaders and Troop Cookie Managers with 2+ years of experience are asked to attend the experienced leader training but are welcome to attend the new leader training if they prefer. This training will offer a fast-paced refresher of the overall Cookie Program and highlight new information. Both virtual and in-person experienced leader training will be offered. Link to the virtual trainings is below. No registration is required.

Cookie Packet Pick up – This is the opportunity to "pick-up" materials and Cookie Program resources. If you choose to attend an in-person training, you will pick up your materials at training. If you attend virtual training, you will be able to pick-up your materials quickly at one of the designated cookie packet pick-up locations. Seven-variety sample packages of cookies will be available for $10 (at packet pick-up) and all troops will receive a complimentary package of the Trefoil Cookie (formerly known as Shortbread). Please be aware the new Raspberry Rally cookie will not be available in the sample pack; this cookie will only be available online.
