Community health centers were born out of Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty in 1965. Today, Republicans and Democrats alike applaud community health centers because they help people stay healthy and lower costs to emergency departments, hospitals, and federal programs like Medicaid and Medicare.

Join the Movement to Protect Community Health Centers

Community health centers like Zufall Health are a vital part of the U.S. health care system. We provide high-quality, affordable care to everyone in need. But our federal funding hasn’t kept up with inflation or growing patient demand and is often issued unpredictably. Right now, we are encouraging a simple action: Sign up to be a health center advocate. By doing so, you’ll receive tools and updates to contact Congress when new health center legislation is introduced.

You can also help by sharing your Zufall story. Whether you are a patient, donor, or community partner, your experiences matter and will shape our ongoing conversations with members of Congress about prioritizing our funding.

Help us Kick off our Milestone Anniversary year in a Meaningful Way

Thirty-five years ago, Dr. Bob and Kay Zufall opened the doors of their small, one-night-a-week clinic in Dover that has since become Zufall Health. In that first year, they reached about 700 patients, which has since grown to more than 500,000 served over the years. This milestone is about more than numbers; it’s about the stories of the patients whose lives we’ve changed together. With thousands in our community still facing barriers to care, so many stories remain unfinished. In honor of our 35th anniversary, we invite you to donate $35—or any amount you choose—to help more people access good health.
