Greetings!

We are overjoyed to share that the Midwife Training Center is finally complete!

Concern staff members Cat and Teri are currently in Guatemala for a workshop with the program team and were able to attend the inauguration and celebrate firsthand the incredible work, dedication, and community effort that brought this vision to life. We invite you to watch the video to see the transformation of the construction, from start to finish, with a final reveal of the new Center.

Thanks to the generosity of the Concern community and a matching grant from Impact Giving, this new space will help strengthen midwife training and expand access to compassionate, community-based care for years to come.

The new Center, complete with training and dormitory spaces, will serve not only as a hub for learning and sharing but also as a sanctuary where midwives, both experienced and new in training, can collaborate and support one another in their mission to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, ensure all mothers have access to basic and lifesaving maternity care, and build healthier families and communities.

From the bottom of our global hearts, thank you for helping make this possible. Your support continues to create lasting impact across generations.

With gratitude and peace,

John Straw
