Family,
April arrives like a quiet promise — longer days, new blooms, and a gentle reminder that renewal is always possible.
This month, communities across the world pause to recognize causes that matter deeply. It's Autism Acceptance Month — a time to build a world where every person feels truly seen, valued, and embraced for who they are. It's Child Abuse Prevention Month — a call to wrap our children in safety, love, and the unwavering protection they deserve. It's Stress Awareness Month — an honest acknowledgment that life can be heavy, and that we were never meant to carry it alone. And as Earth Day approaches on April 22nd, we're reminded that this planet — our shared home — is worth fighting for, together.
What ties all of these causes together is the same thing that ties all of us together: family. Not just the family we were born into, but the family we choose — neighbors, friends, communities, the stranger we extend a hand to. When we show up for a child who needs protection, when we choose to truly see one another, when we check in on a loved one who's struggling, when we tend to the earth for the generations that come after us — that is family in its most powerful form.
This April, may you find hope in the small things: a conversation that heals, a hand that holds, a door held open, a moment of grace. May we lean into each other, not away. And may we remember that the world gets better not all at once, but one act of love at a time.
With hope and heart — Happy April,
Stephanie
