(Re)defining Zionism: An Evening of Art, Music, and Community at Hillel at UCLA

Join us for a moving and thought-provoking evening as Temple Beth Am hosts a private showing of (Re)Defining Zionism: Portraits and Perspectives from a Post-October 7 Israel: a powerful photo exhibit by artist Shlomit Levy Bard. Enjoy heavy appetizers, an open bar, and a live musical performance as we gather to explore the diverse personal stories and faces that make up modern Israeli identity. The $18 ticket prices will go toward the catering for the event, but any further donations will go the artist.

Eric Marcus, founder and host of the award-winning Making Gay History podcast provides an introduction to MGH’s current 12-episode series on the experiences of LGBTQ people during the rise of the Nazi regime, World War II, and the Holocaust. Drawing on extensive research conducted for this first-of-its-kind audio documentary, Eric will share clips from archival interviews that bring this painful, often hidden history to life through the voices of the people who lived it.
