Cooking Class Part 1: Cheesecake Bites

Sunday, June 9 at 10 am


This series of events will involve BCC community members teaching each other recipes they love: family favorites, special secrets, and more. The first lesson will be held in the BCC kitchen and led by Connor Stone, sharing his original recipe for cheesecake bites in advance of Shavuot. Event fee is $15 for members and $20 for non-members; event also includes a pizza lunch and tabletop games. No-one turned away for lack of funds. 

BCC at Los Angeles Pride

Sunday, June 9 at 10:30 am


BCC will be part of a Jewish community contingent at LA Pride, being coordinated by our friends at Temple Israel of Hollywood, as we did last year. The meeting place is Highland & Santa Monica in front of the Walgreens. There may be parking and a shuttle available from TIOH at 7300 Hollywood Blvd. Please sign up with TIOH so you can get a special Pride t-shirt. Trans Havurah Hangout

Tuesday, June 11th at 12 pm


Na'avor (let's cross), BCC's trans Havurah, invites you to join our monthly Zoom hangout. We welcome people who are trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, GNC, intersex, and allies. Join us to catch up and schmooze! Contact transhavurah@bcc-la.org if you need more information!

BCC's Monthly Shabbat Morning Minyan continues in a most nontraditional way—by Zoom. All BCC members and friends are invited to join in this service, which features rousing melodies, Torah reading, and uplifting prayers for healing and consolation in a warm, welcoming setting. BCC at Santa Monica Pride

Saturday, June 22nd from 2 pm - 8 pm


On Saturday, June 22nd, from 2 to 8 pm, help us staff our booth at Santa Monica Pride on the Promenade. Hours are 2 - 8 pm in 2-hour shifts. Our booth will be on the Third Street Promenade, exact location TBD. There will be live music, Pride-themed treats, activities, and more. Annual Congregational Meeting

Join BCC members at our annual congregational meeting in person. At the meeting, you will make important decisions that will guide our congregation for the next year, including approving the budget and selecting members of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee officers.
