BCC Books & Bagels

Join fellow BCC book lovers for our monthly book group meeting on Zoom to discuss Jewish fiction or non-fiction book selections, sometimes with LGBT content. Space is limited. Please contact Larry Nathenson for the Zoom link at larrynath@aol.com.


The book for this month is Converso Jews: A Hidden Family Story, by Gordon Blitz. This novel by BCC member Gordon Blitz has a dual storyline about Converso Jews after the Spanish Inquisition and a contemporary gay romance between a Jew and a Latino Catholic.

Our banner brigade is now going on a bi-weekly schedule.


  • ACTION: 📮 Postcard writing. | BCC Social Action Committee has postcards to help get the vote out in critical states. Please help support this cause by picking up some postcards at BCC and filling them out. BCC will provide the postage.
  • ACTION: ✡️ High Holy Days. | We will be collecting dog and cat food, diapers, and menstrual care products on Kol Nidrei and Yom Kippur. Please bring these items to Kol Nidrei and Yom Kippur services.
