Monthly Clothing Swap
Friday, January 23, 6:45 pm and after services
Join us before Shabbat for a clothing swap! A clothing swap provides an opportunity create a safe, affirming space for trans folks (and everyone!) to explore Shabbat-ready styles. Please bring gently used clean clothes in all sizes, as well as unopened/unused hair and makeup products. No sign up is necessary; we look forward to seeing you there! "Unspoken" film screening with writer/director Jeremy Borison
Saturday, January 24, 7 pm
“UNSPOKEN” is a new, award-winning feature-length film about an Orthodox teenager grappling with his own identity who discovers a love letter written to his late grandfather by another man before the Holocaust. The evening will begin with Havdalah, followed by the film, Q&A with Jeremy Borison, the film’s writer/director, and refreshments.

The book for this month is The Talented Mrs. Mandelbaum: The Rise and Fall of an American Organized-crime Boss, by Margalit Fox. This is a nonfiction account of a Jewish woman criminal in 19th century New York.
