CONFERENCE GUIDELINES: Only one paper is allowed per submitter. The individual submitting the paper is expected to present if accepted. Paper acceptances are also conditional on the submitter's willingness to serve as a discussant in another session of the conference. Discussants are selected from conference presenters and attendants. If you wish to propose a full session, contact the Program Chair, Mo Xiao at mxiao@arizona.edu.

Again this year, the Industrial Organization Society is pleased to award the following two prizes which include an honorarium of $2,500. To be considered for one of the prizes, completed papers must be uploaded to the conference website by January 31, 2024.

  • The 16th annual University of Florida Robert F. Lanzillotti Prize will be awarded for the best paper in antitrust economics.

RISING STAR SESSIONS: The Rising Star sessions showcase the best graduate student research in industrial organization, and provide emerging scholars with both heightened visibility and expert feedback on their research. Session chairs and discussants are drawn from established Industrial Organization scholars, and many of the presenters in Rising Star sessions develop long-standing professional relationships with their session participants. To ensure we give student work consideration for these prestigious sessions, all graduate student submissions must go through the Rising Stars Area on the submission portal. Papers that are not selected for a Rising Star session will be considered for inclusion in a general session at the IIOC.

SPONSORED SESSIONS: This year there will be several sessions devoted to frontier topics that are sponsored by companies and institutes working on issues related to Industrial Organization. The Industrial Organization Society will select relevant topics and the program committee will select papers that are best fit with these topics. All conference submissions related to these topics will be considered for inclusion in these sessions.
