Rochester, NY – June 25, 2025 – We're heading into the last four days of the 22nd Edition Rochester International Jazz Festival in partnership with Rochester Regional Health.
The Wegmans Stage at Parcel 5 opens tonight with 27-year-old Jesus Molina, jazz pianist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, a one-man force of nature, at 9 PM. Sonidos Unidos opens at 7 PM. FREE! No tickets are required. Food and drinks are available.
Trailblazing icon Rickie Lee Jones headlines at 8 PM at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Tickets are still available at Rochesterjazz.com, on the App, at the door, or at the Festival's Ticket Shop at 100 East Avenue.
A full lineup will be presented in the ten Club Pass venues. Enter with a Club Pass or $30 ($35 at Kilbourn Hall) at the door. All venues are air-conditioned.
Free shows today start at noon at the Central Library, followed by today's Jazz Workshop at 1:00 at Eastman School of Music. Concerts start at 3:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the City of Rochester Jazz Street Stage presented by the Community Foundation, at 6 p.m. in the Rochester Regional Health Big Tent, at 7 and 9 p.m. at the Wegmans Pavilion, and wrapping up the night with Squeezers Jam Session at the Hyatt Regency Rochester, starting at 10:30 p.m.
Brochures, Club Passes, and tickets can be picked up at The Ticket Shop at 100 East Ave. at the corner of Gibbs St., open during the festival from Noon to 9 p.m. Gibbs Street is closed to traffic.

The nine-day festival will present more than 285 concerts at 18 venues in downtown Rochester, New York, including 110-plus free shows and 1,750-plus artists. Founded in 2002, the festival has become one of the world's leading and largest jazz festivals.

Rickie Lee Jones
Rickie Lee Jones is an American musician, storyteller, and two-time Grammy winner who has been inspiring pop culture for decades, beginning with her star-making self-titled debut, followed by the seminal Pirates.
Named the “premier song-stylist and songwriter of her generation” by The New Yorker and “The Duchess of Coolsville” by Time magazine, Jones released her Grammy-nominated album Pieces of Treasure in 2023, a reunion with Russ Titelman, who produced her first two records. Jones’ celebrated memoir, Last Chance Texaco, was named Book of the Year by MOJO and a Best Book of the Year by Pitchfork and NPR. Read more

Sonidos Unidos Opens at 7 PM
A world-class jazz pianist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and successful online piano tutor, 27-year-old Jesus Molina is a one-man force of nature, a Berklee College of Music grad and Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation award winner who has already carved out an impressive career. His brand-new instrumental album Selah – a blessing meaning “praise” or “lift up” – perfectly captures his spiritual approach to music; 10 songs that soar to celestial heights, featuring Molina on piano and soprano saxophone, fronting a trio including bassist Guy Bernfeld and drummer Cain Daniel, two fellow Berklee alumni. Selah will be released on vinyl, CD and streaming on May 24th via Argentine/Mexican musician Noel Schajris’ independent label Dynamo Productions. Read more

The Puerto Rican cuatrista, singer, educator, and Emmy-nominated composer. Her artistic vision and original music focus on the exploration of her culture, her ancestry, and her identities. Native to Caguas, PR, Fabiola began playing the cuatro, Puerto Rico’s national instrument, at the age of six.

Jane Bunnett’s Red Dragonfly

Bunnett and her band — Larry Cramer, trumpet and flügelhorn; Kieran Overs, acoustic bass; David Virelles, piano; Mark McLean, drums — team with the Penderecki String Quartet on a set that almost exclusively features startlingly fresh jazz revisions of songs from various world traditions.
