🌱 Climate Week 4 in Baku, Azerbaijan

Climate Week 4 will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 7 - 11 September 2026, bringing together representatives of Parties and non-Party stakeholders in a global space that combines several planned UNFCCC mandated meetings and an open Implementation Forum. This offers a unique opportunity to link the intergovernmental process and the discussions that will feed into COP with the real needs of implementation, while enabling the consolidation of activities to increase efficiency and impact.

Highlights include our gender event on Financing implementation of the Belém Gender Action Plan at the national level on 10 September, which will be part of the Implementation Forum, and the Action for Climate Empowerment Workshop on 7-8 September.

📢 Calls for submissions from SB64

As part of the decisions taken at SB64, there are some submissions you might be interested in contributing to.

Review of the United Arab Emirates JTWP

As part of the draft conclusions on the review of the JTWP, the SBSTA and the SBI invited Parties and non-Party stakeholders to submit views on the review of the United Arab Emirates Just Transition Work Programme (JTWP).

Views to enhance the effectiveness of a new action plan under the Glasgow work programme

As part of the draft conclusions on matters relating to Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE), the SBI invited Parties, observers and other relevant stakeholders to submit views on the informal note referred to in paragraph 4 of the draft conclusions, including proposals for strengthening existing activities and new elements by streamlining and merging current ideas in order to enhance the effectiveness of a new action plan under the Glasgow work programme.

Call for inputs to the information collection and preparation component of the second global stocktake (GST)

Chairs of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation have opened a call for inputs from Parties, observer States, UN Agencies and other international organizations, non-Party Stakeholders and observer Organizations, to inform the collection and preparation component of the second global stocktake (GST).

WIM Executive Committee adopts strategy on gender-responsive approaches
