Getting to the Heart of the Matter

Dear Foundation Friends,

As we embrace the month of February, matters of the heart take center stage in our thoughts and actions. This month marks American Heart Month, a poignant reminder to prioritize cardiovascular health.

In the spirit of caring hearts, our much-anticipated Casino Night for Cardiology is just around the corner, on Feb. 23rd. This event holds special significance as it embodies the generosity that propels our burgeoning cardiology program at UNC Health Pardee. Now in its second year, Casino Night has become a highlight of our community's social calendar. It's a gathering where attire spans from casual to glamorous, all converging for an evening of fun in support of a noble cause. The $100 ticket grants access to an array of entertainment, including live dealers hosting Texas Hold'em, Craps, Roulette, and Blackjack. Attendees can savor local culinary delights and beverages and seize the chance to bid on enticing raffle items using their game-winnings.

Excitingly, this year introduces a new addition: the 50/50 Cash Raffle. You've likely heard murmurs about it, but have you secured your ticket yet? Remember, only 300 chances are available, offering the opportunity to win up to $5,000 or $10,000. Purchase your raffle ticket now, and bear in mind that you do not have to be present to win!

Uniting Communities: Inaugural She Slays 5K and One-Mile Fun Run Empowers Women

In a celebration of solidarity and empowerment, the inaugural She Slays 5K and One Mile Fun Run is set to kick off on April 20th, bringing together individuals from all walks of life to support the Women Helping Women program at UNC Health Pardee.

This exciting event aims to foster a sense of community while raising crucial funds for a program dedicated to uplifting and supporting women in need.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to lace up their running shoes and join in the festivities. Whether racing to beat personal records or strolling leisurely, everyone's participation contributes to the greater cause of empowering women in our community.

Summer Soiree to Honor Pardee's Excellence in Healthcare and Philanthropy!

The Foundation is excited to reimagine our annual Gala as a Summer Soiree on June 21st. This event draws supporters together each June to honor the UNC Health Pardee Physician of the Year and Pardee Hospital Foundation Philanthropist of the Year.

These awards are presented based on research released by Healthgrades, the leading resource patients use to find a provider.
