Spartan Project SEARCH 2022-23 Cohort

The last month was filled with extreme cold and extreme warm but interns worked hard at continuing to learn new skills and finish Rotation 2 strong. Interns increased their skills with time management, using technology appropriately, customer service, making priorities, and initiating interactions and new tasks. In departments, Interns learned to travel independently, problem solve travel complications, make pizza, use the grill/fryer, serve customers, clean around students learning, scan in library materials, and use linen machines for pressing materials. During classroom time, Interns learned and practice time management skills, discussed how to determine priorities, learned about healthy habits, and discussed importance of food groups in healthy eating. Coming up, Interns will update their resumes, practice for their final rotation interviews, and explore self-advocacy.

Department Spotlight:

Case Dining Hall

Supervisor: Krista Miller

Learning From Each Other

An inspiring aspect of Case Dining Hall is the opportunities for current interns to learn skills and work with their peers and other Project SEARCH graduates. This department also follows and is observable of Michigan State University's pillars of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Eat At State

Many Spartans choose the convenience of dining in one of our all-you-care-to-eat locations, like residential dining halls or MSU Union Food Court.

Each neighborhood offers a diverse menu of options, including vegan and vegetarian selections, comfort food, grill items, international cuisine, desserts, pizza, breakfast items, and more!

Culinary excellence at MSU is showcased throughout our dining halls on campus. We offer an array of options to ensure students and guests always have a convenient dining choice that fits their needs. Offering all-you-care-to-eat dining during breakfast, lunch and dinner, Spartans will never go hungry when they Eat at State!

Save the Date!
