Mike Warne, a Craig resident, couldn't walk beyond the front door of the grocery store to pick up his medications without running out of strength. After a series of illnesses and injuries had contributed to Mike's fitness declining, a critical heart failure in spring of 2025 revealed his heart was pumping at only a quarter capacity.

Memorial Regional Health Earns Advanced Pediatric Emergency Readiness Verification Through COPPER Program

Memorial Regional Health (MRH) has earned Pediatric Advanced verification through the Colorado Pediatric Preparedness for the Emergency Room (COPPER) program, recognizing MRH’s high level of preparedness to care for infants, children, and adolescents during emergency situations.


COPPER, developed by EMS for Children Colorado in collaboration with statewide partners, helps hospitals strengthen pediatric emergency readiness through specialized training, policies, equipment standards, and quality improvement initiatives.

Memorial Regional Health continues to expand high-quality healthcare services close to home, including the launch of our new Cardiac Rehabilitation Program designed to improve access and long-term outcomes for rural patients recovering from cardiac events. We also celebrated major achievements in emergency and trauma care, including completing the COPPER pediatric preparedness program and earning a perfect Trauma Program recertification.

Memorial Regional Health offers wellness lab tests that are affordable, convenient and important tools for managing your healthcare concerns. Patients can receive basic diagnostic laboratory tests without needing an order from a healthcare provider.
