Adult Forum this Sunday
Why I'm Episcopalian and not ______.
| | This forum will look at a few of the major schisms and fractures that have branched into thousands of different Christian denominations. We'll take a deeper look into the history, beliefs and teachings of a few of the major Christian denominations that exist today. | | |
Lessons and Carols
December 14 at 4:00pm
| | Join us for a service of Lessons and Carols for Advent, with beautiful selections from Scripture, seasonal hymns, and anthems from the choir. | |
Advent Craft Festival
December 20 from 2 to 4 pm
| St Albans will hold a children's advent craft festival on Saturday, December 20th from 2 PM to 4 PM in the parish hall. We will make Christmas crafts, decorate cookies and drink hot chocolate. All are welcome. | Christmas Flowers and Greening the Church | |
St. Alban's will be decorated with wreaths, roping, and poinsettias for the Christmas season. A contribution toward the purchase of these flowers is greatly appreciated. Please complete and submit the online form, located at this link, by Friday, December 19.
Greening the Church, December 21: We will be decorating the church on Sunday, December 21 following the 10:30 am service. All are welcome to pitch in to get our nave ready to welcome the Christ Child for the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services.
| |
Each week we will focus on different ministries in the Narthex and it continues this Sunday with ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY. For more information, please contact Karen or Rick Weinberg at rweinberg1@cox.net.

| | As you might have noticed in posters around the church, the Christmas Gift Wrapping Fundraiser is starting up soon! Bring your gifts downstairs to Room B4 before either Sunday service during the next two Sundays of Advent: Decembers 14 and 21. Gift wrapping is free, but while you’re there, please leave a generous donation for St. Alban’s Mission and Outreach Programs! | | House Blessings in Epiphany | | The clergy are available to offer rites of blessing and deliverance for homes this January. The feast of Epiphany has been an opportune and sensible time for these prayers. If you've lived in your home for years, or you’re newly in a home, or if you’ve recently experienced major transitions in your life, it could be a good time to have your house or residence blessed. If you’re interested in knowing more, contact Fr Paul. | | Did you accidentally donate a gift card for the Lego Store to the Church Bazaar? Contact Ann Gates – gatesand@aol.com. | | |

Thank you for donating 19 pounds last week!
Food donations are greatly needed and can be dropped off in the Narthex! If donations are particularly heavy, please separate them across several bags so bags don't break.
ACCA continues to be in need of chunky soup, jarred spaghetti sauce, saltines, ravioli/spaghetti-os, large tubes of toothpaste, and canned peas, carrots, and peas/carrots combined. In addition, volunteer drivers have been working overtime to deliver food to people’s homes. If you have a spare hour once every week or two, try doing a delivery. It can be very rewarding. You don’t have to drive on a regular schedule, but just when you have time.
Please drop off food donations in the Narthex, so that Fran Walinsky can take donations to the pantry each week. Monetary donations to ACCA are also welcome! For info, click here.
Contact Gail Coleman, gv.coleman@verizon.net or Debbe Heiman at if you have any questions!
