Ministry Sunday
September 10, 2023
One Service ONLY at 9:30 am
| |
Ministry Sunday will be September 10, 2023, immediately following the 9:30 Holy Eucharist. There will only be one service that day. Representatives from each ministry will be available to discuss how our combined efforts serve the mission of St. Alban’s. Please be supportive and plan to stop by for a visit, and when you do, ask yourself, “Where is God calling you to serve?” We can help find the right fit for you and your lifestyle. Whether you have one hour of time to donate or can chair an entire committee, there is a place for everyone at St. Alban’s.
For more information, please contact Karen or Rick Weinberg at rweinberg1@cox.net.
Emails are being sent out to the different ministries regarding set up, etc. Please take a moment to respond with the necessary information as soon as possible. Thanks!
| | Registration Open for Sunday School! | |
We are excited to announce that registration is open for Sunday School (grades Pre-K through High School). Please register your children by either going to the church website or by using the QCR code below. This information is very important for parish record keeping.
For more information on registration or about St. Alban’s Sunday School, please see Adam Hutson or send us an email at sundayschool@stalbansva.org.
Don’t forget: Sunday School returns on 9/17 at 9:15 am.
| | Superheroes Needed for Children's Christian Education | |
We are looking for superheroes to volunteer in children's Christian education. Whether it be an extra hand during Sunday School, volunteering for Vacation Bible School, or donating supplies, you will make a difference in a child's spiritual life. The benefits of being a children's ministry volunteer are earning instant hero status, all-you-can-eat Goldfish crackers, exercise, unlimited high fives, and free crayons.
For more information on becoming a superhero, please see Adam Hutson or email us at sundayschool@stalbansva.org.

St. Alban's Annual Christmas Bazaar
Saturday, November 18, 2023
| |
The Christmas Bazaar will be here before you know it!!
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
VOLUNTEER.
Join our enthusiastic volunteers and help prepare and carry out the annual Saint Alban’s Christmas Bazaar. Do you have one hour? One day? How about a week? We are calling all volunteers to help decorate the parish hall, set up and take down the tables and chairs, move sale items in and out, and work in the cafe or one of the stalls. Much of the work starts the Sunday before the bazaar and continues in the evenings during the bazaar week.
DONATE.
Donations are being accepted now, so bring your items to the parish hall closet in marked boxes and sturdy bags on or before November 7, 2023.
This year, we need tools, sporting goods, outdoor gear, toys, jewelry, handbags, scarves, neckties, jewelry boxes, movies & music (DVDs & CDs only), and books; popular fiction (adventure, historical, crime, romance) books, particularly in paperback format, as well as history/autobiography books, and cookbooks, published within past 10 years. Place items in boxes or sturdy bags marked with what’s inside. When choosing items to donate, consider what you or others would like to buy. All items should be clean and in good condition. Please ensure any battery‐operated items have a battery so the customer can see that they work.
NOT SOLD AT THE BAZAAR:
lectronics such as TVs, VCRs, DVD players, computers, printers, Furniture, Clothing, Shoes, Hats, Large Handbags.
